Republic Services has announced that it will commence trash collection and operations earlier than usual on Eclipse Day to circumvent the anticipated surge in traffic.
According to a City of Avon press release, Republic Services is urging its customers to place their garbage and recycling carts curbside on the evening of April 7 for collection on Monday, April 8.
The waste management company aims to start its operations in Avon ahead of schedule to collect from as many residential households as possible before traffic conditions potentially hinder further collections, as stated in another City of Avon press release.
In case Republic Services finds it unfeasible to continue curbside collection on Monday before completing the entire city, the press release from the City of Avon indicates that collection will be postponed until Tuesday.
