Rady retires after 44 years with the City of Westlake.

Ray Rady, a long-serving employee of the City of Westlake, was recently honored upon his retirement. After dedicating 44 years to the city's Sewer and Leaf Collection Divisions, Rady's retirement became effective on Nov. 30, 2003.

"Ray is not the type of worker you replace, he's the type of worker you remember," said Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough, as reported in a City of Westlake press release.

According to another press release from the City of Westlake, Rady was recognized as one of the city's most longstanding and dedicated employees.

The same press release noted that Rady's commitment to his work and the city's well-being was unwavering. Beyond being a service worker, he was familiar to many residents due to his ever-present smile, engaging conversations and unflagging positivity.
