The Rocky River Planning Commission is set to deliberate on two proposed additions to the Rocky River Senior Center at 21014 Hilliard Boulevard in its forthcoming meeting.
Under the proposal, a gym and a lecture hall would be incorporated into the existing structure of the Rocky River Senior Center, as stated in the Planning Commission's agenda for their December 19 meeting. The session was scheduled to take place on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers situated on the first floor of City Hall.
According to the same agenda, the proposed gym addition would encompass a fitness center spanning 2,251 square feet. This space would feature a shuffleboard court, walking track, and volleyball court. Additionally, a dance studio measuring 678 square feet and separate restrooms for men and women were included in the plan. The design also includes a corridor of 772 square feet equipped with seating and a storage area covering 488 square feet.
The second addition detailed in the December 19 meeting agenda would involve creating a lecture hall measuring 3,093 square feet along with an adjacent new gift shop of 378 square feet. The lecture hall is designed to include permanent tables equipped with power and data connections.
Once these additions are constructed, extensive landscaping is also planned according to information from the Planning Commission's December 19 meeting agenda.
