Elves for Elders is an annual holiday gift-giving initiative designed to bring joy and warmth to seniors within the community. The initiative connects generous individuals with seniors, collecting gifts from these compassionate community members. A dedicated team of "Elves" then hand-delivers these gifts to seniors across Cuyahoga County, spreading holiday cheer.

According to a press release from Cuyahoga County, the Department of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS) Administrator Natasha Pietrocola said “Elves for Elders is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding projects. It is heartwarming to see the reactions of our clients when they receive their gifts. They appreciate receiving even basic items that they need.”

In the same press release, Pietrocola said, "Many of our clients do not have others in their lives to celebrate the holidays with. Hopefully, Elves for Elders reminds them they are valued and not forgotten."

The press release also provided information on how individuals can participate in this initiative. They can purchase gifts listed on the Target Registry and either ship them directly to the agency or personally deliver them to 13815 Kinsman Road in Cleveland. The agency accepts contributions Monday through Friday, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
