Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, along with Lt. Governor Jon Husted, announced that the new Cleveland location of International Food Solutions will generate 220 full-time positions. The annual payroll for these positions is projected to be $10.4 million.
According to a news release from DeWine's office, this project is one among 11 others that are expected to create 1,025 new jobs and retain 567 existing ones across the state. Collectively, these projects are predicted to generate over $65 million in payroll and trigger $523 million in investments throughout Ohio.
International Food Solutions specializes in producing frozen Asian, Indian, Latin, and Mediterranean meals for its institutional clients across the United States. This was stated in a news release from DeWine's office. The project also encompasses the acquisition of a new facility which will integrate its current out-of-state poultry processing operations.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) has approved a 1.313%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project as per another news release from DeWine's office. TCA evaluated economic development proposals presented at its monthly meeting by JobsOhio and its regional partners.
