Cuyahoga County property owners have been granted an extended timeframe for tax bill payments. The Treasurer’s Office has implemented a new policy that modifies the due date and mailing procedures, effective from February 15, 2024. This move allows for increased flexibility in meeting tax obligations. Those seeking to make early payments for income tax purposes can continue to do so.

According to the press release, taxpayers in Cuyahoga County will be able to access their tax bills online or via phone at 1-877-738-1212 no later than December 22, 2023. Physical copies of tax bills will be dispatched in early January 2024. For additional assistance or a courtesy copy, individuals can contact the Treasurer's Office at 216-443-7400 Option 1. To ensure timely payments, property owners must settle their property tax bills through online transactions, in-person visits, phone payments, or by postmarking their payments on or before the due date of February 15, 2024.

The press release further informs that taxpayers have several convenient options for making property tax payments. In person, payments can be made at the Treasurer's Office on the first floor of the County Administrative Headquarters at 2079 E. 9th Street in Downtown Cleveland using cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card (with applicable fees).

The press release also notes that taxpayers can utilize drop boxes at the Treasurer's Office or any Cuyahoga County Auto Title and Key Bank locations for in-person check or money order payments. Payments by mail can be made with a check, cashier's check, or money order by sending the bottom portion of the bill along with payment to Cuyahoga County Treasurer at 2079 East 9th St., Cleveland, OH 44115. Including the parcel number on the check or money order expedites processing.

According to the press release, phone payments are also accepted at 1-877-738-1212 via check, credit, or debit card (with fees). Online payments are an option using check, credit, or debit card (with fees). Taxpayers are encouraged to explore the EasyPay service, a free and convenient option allowing payments in monthly, semiannual, or yearly installments.
