On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Berea-Midpark High School standout Mallory Herwerden’s college team won in an NCAA Division I softball game

On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Berea-Midpark High School standout Mallory Herwerden’s current college team, the Akron Zips, won 2-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the USC Upstate Spartans.

The game took place at Cyrill Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Upstate Spartans this season.

The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. at Tarleton Softball Complex against Tarleton State Texans.
