On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Berea-Midpark High School standout Mallory Herwerden’s college team won in an NCAA Division I softball game

On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Berea-Midpark High School standout Mallory Herwerden’s current college team, the Akron Zips, won 11-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Monmouth Hawks.

The game took place at Cyrill Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Hawks this season.

The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. at Cyrill Stadium against USC Upstate Spartans.
