Students and teachers from the Rocky River City School District have collaborated with the Rocky River Historical Society on a variety of projects. These initiatives included contributing illustrations to a coloring book and designing templates for plaques that will adorn historic homes.

According to a press release from Rocky River High School, art students have enriched the inaugural edition of the Rocky River Historical Society's coloring book. They illustrated key landmarks and iconic sites from the town's history, such as the Railroad Depot, Old River Shopping District, Rocky River Bridge, Clock Tower, Rocky River Public Library, Bearden’s, and Mitchell’s. These illustrations are featured across 16 pages of the coloring book.

The same press release states that the Historical Society generously provided 200 copies of this coloring book to Kensington Intermediate School. This ensures all third-grade students can access it during their local history unit. In addition to this, some completed illustrations will be displayed on the wall at the entrance of the Historical Society at Beach School.

The Rocky River Historical Society has stated that their organization is committed to upholding, interpreting, and honoring the rich heritage of the city and its inhabitants. Their vision extends beyond preserving history; they aim to secure a permanent establishment, increase membership, expand archival collections, and introduce new services for community benefit. Embodying preservation in its true essence, the Society is actively engaged in initiatives such as implementing an oral history project and documenting present-day transformations within Rocky River.
