The North Coast Waterfront Development Corp. has appointed Scott Skinner as its inaugural executive director. This not-for-profit organization aims to assist Cleveland in the equitable development of the North Coast Lakefront.

Mayor Justin M. Bibb, in a City of Cleveland press release, praised Skinner's appointment, saying, "Scott’s experience in development, community outreach, and advocacy will be essential as he builds this organization from the ground up and begins the work to transform Cleveland's Downtown Lakefront into a vibrant and accessible destination for residents, business, and recreation."

According to the same press release, Skinner's primary responsibility will be to lead the execution of a community vision for the city's lakefront. His role will encompass managing organizational leadership, funding strategies, advocacy efforts and ensuring alignment with public and private sector stakeholders.

Before his appointment at North Coast Waterfront Development Corp., Skinner served as The NRP Group LLC's vice president of development. As per another City of Cleveland press release, his duties included deal origination, initial underwriting and due diligence tasks. He also managed political approvals and community outreach for market rate and affordable multifamily development projects across Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.
