The process of clearance pruning for utility lines in Bay Village is set to commence this week. The work, which will be undertaken by First Energy contractor Townsend Tree Service, is scheduled to begin on Monday.
According to a press release from the City of Bay Village, crews from Townsend Tree Service will operate in various sections of Bay Village for an estimated period of six to eight weeks.
The same press release reveals that the majority of the clearance pruning will occur on main routes. Conversely, most side streets and backyard spans will only undergo minimal pruning as required. The utilities that are slated for clearance pruning encompass primary, secondary, and service (house drop) wires.
In terms of clean-up operations, the City of Bay Village states that all brush and debris resulting from the pruning activities up to 6 inches in diameter will be cleared by the contractor. However, logs and brush exceeding 6 inches in diameter will remain at the site of the pruning for removal at a later date.
