Local residents should be on the lookout for Santa Claus as he leaves Bay Lodge on Bradley Road on his way to help light the city's holiday tree. This joyful event is set to take place in Bay Village on Sunday, December 3.
Starting with details of Santa Claus's journey, Santa and Mrs. Claus will leave Bay Lodge on a fire truck at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, according to a Bay Village press release. They will be accompanied by a police cruiser as they travel through Bay Village on an approximately two-hour ride that ends at the Cahoon Memorial Park Gazebo, where the Clauses will help light the city's holiday tree. Moving onto holiday festivities within local establishments, The Rose Hill Museum is being decorated for the holidays, according to a Bay Village press release. Community members can visit the museum on Sundays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17, from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., and Wednesdays on Dec. 6, 13 and 20 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Further enriching the cultural experience of these celebrations, Families can enjoy a reading of "The Night Before Christmas" by Preston Postle on Dec. 13, 17 and 20, according to a Bay Village press release. The Bay High Choraleers will perform at the museum at 3 p.m. on Dec. 3, with the Bay Middle School Orchestra performing a week later at 2:30 p.m.
In addition to this, a special photo opportunity is being organized, Photos will be taken of families, including pets, with Mr. and Mrs. Claus in the antique sleigh from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, according to the Bay Village press release. Wrapping up the series of holiday-themed events, The Medina Spinning and Weaving Guild, The Lorain County Spinners and Weavers, and the Crooked River Rug Hookers will offer spinning and weaving demonstrations on the 1830s loom every day the museum is open, according to the Bay Village press release. Items that are woven on it will be available for purchase.
