Forbes Magazine doubles down on kudos for the University based on survey, evaluation data

After being named the best place to work in Greater Cleveland for 2022 and the second-best employer in all of Ohio by Forbes’ Magazine, Cleveland State University has risen to even greater heights.

CSU has been ranked by the business magazine once again, but this time as the 10th best employer nationally among America’s Best Midsize Employers for 2023.

“It is gratifying to be reminded of how passionate our employees are about our mission as an urban, public research university serving our students, the community and the region,” said CSU President Laura Bloomberg.

“We’re committed to attracting and retaining the best and brightest faculty and staff. We do that by working each day to develop a culture where everyone is treated with fairness, dignity and respect.”

America’s Best Midsize Employers 2023 were identified in an independent survey taken by approximately 45,000 American employees working for companies with more than 1,000 workers in the United States.

In total, 500 employers were recognized across 25 different industry sectors. The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from respondents who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employer to friends and family. Evaluations also included other employers in their respective industries that stood out either positively or negatively.
