Tri-C JazzFest Seeks Bands for Outdoor Stage Performances | Tri-C

Annual summer festival accepting applications through April 2

Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland, presented by KeyBank, is accepting online applications for local and regional bands to play the Strassman Insurance Outdoor Stage at Playhouse Square as part of the festival’s 44th season.

A committee of music industry experts will select the groups for the stage lineup. A variety of musical genres will be considered, ranging from jazz, to blues, R&B, funk, gospel, jam band and reggae.

Fourteen acts will ultimately take the stage between 3 p.m. and midnight on Friday and Saturday of the festival weekend. Applications will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. on April 2 at tri-c.edu/jazzfestcall.

“This aspect of JazzFest has always been a favorite component for showcasing the great talent here in Northeast Ohio,” said Terri Pontremoli, festival director. “Come ready to dance, because these acts will get you on your feet."

The 44th annual Tri-C JazzFest runs June 22-24. The festival includes eight ticketed concerts inside Playhouse Square’s historic theaters, plus other activities. Visit tri-cjazzfest.com for a schedule of ticketed shows and the indoor artist lineup.

Festival passes — which offer VIP seating to all ticketed concerts and other perks — are now on sale for $250 each. Visit tri-c.edu/festivalpass to purchase.

Single tickets go on sale April 3 through the Playhouse Square Box Office at 216-241-6000 or playhousesquare.org.

Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland is made possible by KeyBank, the George Gund Foundation, the Ohio Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, the William M. Weiss Foundation, Strassman Insurance Services, Inc. and a growing list of donors and vendors.
