Corporate College Helps Workforce Adjust to New Normal

Professional development, facilities rentals among offerings

The COVID-19 pandemic changed the face of Greater Cleveland’s workforce, giving Corporate College®, a division of Cuyahoga Community College, a chance to shine.

Corporate College has made the transition smoother for the region’s workers and employers, offering new training opportunities, professional development and event organization.

In an interview with Cleveland Magazine, Suzanne Ortiz, Corporate College’s director of open enrollment programs, discusses the increased activity at the College’s Westlake, Warrensville Heights and Brunswick locations.

Many professionals have mastered new skills through Corporate College’s online and in-person courses, boosting their ability to multitask or even change careers.

On a broader level, the open-enrollment professional development and certificate programs focus on topics such as workplace diversity, project management and productivity in remote environments.

“What worked yesterday is no longer working today due to the volatility, complexity and ambiguity of our times,” Ortiz said.

Corporate College also makes board meetings, conventions and staff retreats a breeze with event planning and state-of-the-art facilities rentals.

“Corporate College is with you every step of the way to make sure you’re successful,” Ortiz said. “With us, you’re getting the best of the best.”
