Cleveland State University is excited to announce a ten-year partnership with Aramark Higher Education to provide elevated and innovative dining experiences on campus through enhanced menu and catering options, renovated dining areas, the introduction of national brands, and student-focused events.
The Student Center will be refreshed and renovated to include new dining concepts and national brands, including Starbucks, Chick-fil-a, and Panda Express. Additionally, a high-tech Smart Store will be installed in the Euclid Commons for student convenience.
Cleveland State University Dining will also look to foster local partnerships, building on their established relationships with Ohio City Pasta and Orlando Bread. One of the new fall offerings will feature Barrio, a local dining partner, within Berkman Hall.
“We are excited to be starting the partnership with Aramark and transforming our dining experience on campus,” said David Jewell, CFO for Cleveland State University. “The addition of each of the great retail partners is something that our students have asked for and we are going to deliver. This transition in dining experience is an integral part of delivering on CSU 2.0 which will continue make CSU a vibrant urban university, where our students want to visit and live.”
Students can expect robust programming to keep their dining experience fresh and engaging. CSU Dining will feature a range of events from a “Taste of” series focusing on Cleveland, Rock and Roll, NFL, and NBA inspired dishes to Local Flavor events and Chef Spotlights, as well as Holiday Vibe and Just for Fun dining. Students will even have cooking classes in which they can participate.
As proponents of holistic health, CSU Dining will not only highlight physical health through nutrition as students have access to a registered dietician, but also prioritize healthy minds fostered by Aramark’s popular Take 15 program.
“It’s always exciting to see new partnerships come to fruition,” said Vince Phipps, Regional Vice President for Aramark Higher Education. “Hospitality and the dining experience are our specialty, and we anticipate that our ever-evolving cuisine, our commitment to nutrition and holistic health, and engaging events will be a hit on campus.”
