Here’s something to howl about: the Cleveland State University Police Department has established a new therapy dog program! Our two new 11-week-old yellow labs are very good boys who come to us from Lewis Center, Ohio. Rune partners with CSUPD Officer Toni Jones, and Thor will partner with CSUPD Officer Thomas Lear.
Currently, there are nearly 300 law enforcement agencies nationwide with therapy dogs and the CSUPD is among them. Research has shown that therapy dogs offer many benefits to university students, including improved class attendance, problem-solving, energy levels and happiness—all while enhancing socio-emotional development and reducing stress, anxiety, negative feelings and behaviors.
Feeling ruff? Anything is paws-ible with these bark-eology majors! Judging from this video, these paw-some pups belong on the cover of Vanity Fur. They even love the (wait for it) pup-arazzi… OK, all groaning aside, please forgive us. We are overtaken by the cuteness and we know all of you will be, too.
