Cuyahoga Community College issued the following announcement on January 27.
Four-month program begins in February with in-person and virtual learning options
Individuals seeking to turn their passion for event planning into a career can learn industry practices and insights through a new three-course series at Corporate College®, a division of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®).
Taught by industry professionals, the courses guide participants through the event planning process from beginning to end. Students learn high-value skills and techniques while gaining a comprehensive understanding of small- and large-scale event organization and building the basic skills needed to operate a successful event-planning business.
"This is an opportunity for anyone who wants to turn their passion into a career with an industry role model and mentor teaching them best practices," said Suzanne Ortiz, professional development manager with Corporate College.
All three courses will be offered in person and virtually from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In-person classes take place at Corporate College East (4400 Richmond Road in Warrensville Heights).
- Fundamentals of Event Planning: 1 – March 10
- Event Design, Production and Logistics: March 22 – April 16
- Event Marketing and Management: 23 – Sept. 29
