Avon Lake home prices rose in the first half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Avon Lake rose by $20,950 while total sales decreased by 24.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 155 homes sold, with a median sale price of $258,000 - a 8.8% increase over the $237,050 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 206 homes sold in Avon Lake in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Avon Lake for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $4,256, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
