Median home prices in Elyria rose to $115,000 in the first half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Elyria rose by $19,500 while total sales decreased by 4.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 467 homes sold, with a median sale price of $115,000 - a 20.4% increase over the $95,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 489 homes sold in Elyria in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Elyria for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,844, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
